Behind the mic🎙️: meet Ryan Horn, your guide through the dark alleys of crime

Ryan Horn was born and raised in Illinois in a law enforcement family. He studied criminal justice at John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University.

He began his law enforcement career at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He earned the Officer of the Year Award in 2006.

Ryan earned a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, one of the top criminal justice colleges in America. He wrote his research thesis on white-collar crime.


Ryan has taught criminal justice at John A. Logan College, Southeastern Illinois College, and Missouri Baptist University. He hosts the True Crime podcast, The White-Collar Crimes podcast, and is the co-host, along with legendary con artist, Steve Comisar, of the podcast, The Con Man and The Cop.

Ryan currently works in Illinois as a probation and court services officer. He has specialized in both adult and juvenile cases. He currently resides with his wife, four dogs, and two cats.
